As gardeners, we respect the land that we spend time on from spring until harvest. And we express gratitude for the neighboring Red River that helps bring life to the vegetables and flowers that we grow here — on Treaty One territory — the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Ojibway, Dakota, Dene, and Oji-Cree peoples and the homeland of the Red River Métis.
We show our respect and gratitude for the land and the people who came before us. And, we are thankful for the opportunity to garden and learn here in mutual respect.
